An emergency or critical incident can occur at any worksite or to any worker at any time. It is important that worksites plan and prepare for how they will respond and recover from the many and varied types of events that could fit into this category.
CSHW SA has developed the document below to assist worksites in the development of a Critical Incident/Contingency Plan.
In developing a Critical Incident/Contingency Plan consideration must be given to the environment, the services offered by the site and the people who work or visit the site. The Plan must be specific to the worksite.
The Guidelines are available in Word format for smaller worksites where the Emergency Risk Management Checklist, with relevant changes to make it specific to the given worksite, may suffice in the development of a Plan.
